During the first project phase four common regional ICT research priorities were identified through a consultation process (that involved a broad audience of ICT stakeholders in the Western Balkan region) and were specifically selected on the basis of the countries’ readiness to pursue research & development, in terms of appropriate human resources and infrastructure.
In October 2008 the following research fields:
ICT for Government and eGovernment; ICT for Enterprise and eBusiness; Internet and Broadband technologies; ICT for Learning and eLearning
were addressed by a series of four ICT workshops in the Western Balkan countries participating in the project.
The SCORE ICT workshops have involved appropriate EU and WB speakers with the aim to provide:
Additionally, the workshops were also an opportunity for a public discussion on the overall key barriers in Western Balkan ICT research and recommendations on future EU-WB research collaboration.
